HEALDSBURG PRUNE PACKERS WIN 2025 PEL CHAMPIONSHIP SECURING HISTORIC FIVE-PEAT

The Pacific Empire League proudly announces that the Healdsburg Prune Packers are the 2025 league champions, winning the final series over the Humboldt Crabs in a dramatic three-game showdown. This marks the second consecutive Pacific Empire League title for Healdsburg and an extraordinary fifth straight summer championship overall, solidifying their place among the most dominant collegiate baseball programs in the nation.

The 2025 PEL Championship Series delivered exactly what fans have come to expect from the country's premier summer collegiate league: thrilling matchups, elite player performance, and unmatched passion from two of the most historic baseball clubs in the United States. The Healdsburg Prune Packers and Humboldt Crabs, both with legacies dating back more than a century, battled through a fiercely competitive season and earned their place in this year’s title series.

Game One, played in front of a packed crowd in Arcata, showcased Humboldt’s home-field intensity. Game Two returned to a sold-out Recreation Park in Healdsburg, where the Packers responded with grit and power to even the series. The decisive Game Three crowned the Prune Packers as champions, capping a summer filled with record-breaking attendance, national scouting attention, and some of the finest amateur baseball anywhere.

This five-peat achievement by Healdsburg spans two leagues and five years of postseason excellence, reflecting the Pacific Empire League’s commitment to high-level competition, player development, and fan experience. As the fastest-growing collegiate summer baseball league on the West Coast, the PEL continues to raise the bar for what is possible in summer ball.
